Hi there!
First, please allow me to share how this title came to be.
As of date, I am 49 going on 50 – and never married. This is increasingly common in the part of the world where I come from.
God Almighty Himself made it clear that “it is not good for the man to be alone” (Genesis 2:18 NASB), but sometimes life doesn’t turn out the way we expect it to.
Let’s face it, Jesus Christ Himself lived and died a single man.
I’ve lived in lands far away from my native one. I’ve acquired attitudes and perspectives which seem quite different from the majority of others who share my nationality.
Yes, it can feel pretty lonely – but complaining about loneliness is going to make me feel more lonely.
Why not learn to embrace and enjoy what people call solitude?
In fact, I quite enjoy exploring, going for hikes, making photographs, going out for a drink or a bite – all on my own.
I find that being solo helps me hone my concentration, stay alert, and be more intentional about what I do.
But after documenting my travels and thoughts in my personal journal and on my Facebook page, I realize how I want to connect with a wider audience.
Not to mention the fact that more than a few of my close or longtime friends are not even on Facebook.
So here it is – my own little blog, Solo Yet Never Alone.
